The academy / researcher residence is located on a sloped landscape in the Wavehill Gardens in Bronx, NY and is a space for the research and study of birds. The modular form is derived from the study of starling swarm intelligence which integrates spaces including residential and lab space for researchers along with galleries and classrooms for visitors. The areas for researchers, students, and gallery viewers are separated by a exterior courtyard.
